Hi! I'm Bonnie, and I am a Professor of Studies in Educational Leadership in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta.  Giving innovative rural schools positive attention is my current research focus, and conducting this study with New Humble Community School has been the joy of my career.

Rural is my dwelling place, having grown up on a farm, been a 4-H kid, and now living on an acreage north of Edmonton. Hiking and camping is my happy place, but I also love gardening, archery, and taking pictures of rural landscapes and buildings. My heart is with my dog, Ritter, but Triscuit and Pepper that you see above here have a special place there, too.
